FRAMES

1450 Series

Interior Flush Glaze Framing System

A 1¾″ x 4½″ interior flush glaze framing system suited to a wide range of commercial interior partitions and glazed walls. The 1450 accepts both ¼″ (6mm) and ⅜″ (10mm) glazing and uses EPDM wedge gaskets to hold each lite securely.

Configuration options: add a 4½″ x 4½″ 90-degree corner post or a 4½″ x 4½″ high base sill where the layout calls for it. Compatible with standard swing door systems for a unified look.

Finishes: stocked in clear, bronze, and black anodized. Optional finishes include light bronze, medium bronze, champagne anodized, and powder or liquid paint.

1451 Series

Thermally Broken Flush Glazed Storefront

A 2″ x 4½″ thermally broken storefront engineered around a 6.6 polyamide glass fiber thermal break, delivering strong U-value performance for commercial and mixed-use exteriors. Built primarily for 1″ sealed insulating glass, with pocket-reducing adaptors available for ¼″, ⅜″, and ½″ glazing.

Performance details: a sloped glazing bead sheds water away from the glass pocket, while end dams and an integrated sill gutter direct moisture to weep holes for reliable drainage. The 4½″ x 4½″ 90-degree corner post provides clean, square sightlines.

Finishes: clear, bronze, and black anodized stocked. Light bronze, medium bronze, champagne anodized, and custom paint optional.

Curtain Walls

5100 Series Curtain Wall System

A 2″ sightline non-thermal curtain wall sized for storefronts, lower-rise commercial, and institutional façades where structural performance and clean lines matter more than maximum thermal isolation. Mullion depths of 3″, 4″, and 5″ cover most spans.

Sealing: ¼″ silicone and EPDM gaskets manage air and water infiltration.

Fabrication: designed for efficient shop fabrication and on-site assembly to keep labour cost predictable.

Finishes: clear, bronze, and black anodized stocked. Light bronze, medium bronze, and champagne anodized optional. Integrates with the 218, 350, and 500 Series doors for full-system continuity.

5200 Series Curtain Wall System

A thermally broken curtain wall built on the same 2″ sightline as the 5100 but with a polyamide thermal break engineered into a roll-nose profile. The result is significantly improved U-values without giving up the slim sightline architects want for modern façades. Mullion depths of 3″, 4″, and 5″.

Performance: the polyamide break reduces thermal bridging and helps the wall meet current energy codes. The roll-nose profile adds rigidity against wind load.

Finishes: clear, bronze, and black anodized stocked. Light bronze, medium bronze, and champagne anodized optional. Suited to mid- and large-scale commercial, institutional, and multi-family projects.

6300 Series Curtain Wall System

A 2½″ sightline curtain wall offering a wider mullion range for taller spans and higher load conditions. Mullion depths of 4″, 5¼″, 6⅝″, and 8″ allow the system to scale from typical storefront heights up to multi-storey façades.

Sealing and glazing: ¼″ silicone with EPDM gaskets.

Fabrication: pre-engineered components reduce shop time and simplify field assembly.

Finishes: clear, bronze, and black anodized stocked. Light bronze, medium bronze, and champagne anodized optional. Pairs with all door systems above for a continuous façade detail.

6500 Series Curtain Wall System

The premium thermally broken curtain wall in the line, built around a high-performance polyamide thermal break. Specified for projects where energy code compliance, occupant comfort, and long-term operating cost are primary drivers, including office towers, institutional buildings, and high-end residential.

Thermal performance: the polyamide break delivers measurable U-value improvements over non-thermal systems, contributing meaningfully to whole-building energy modelling.

Durability: premium-grade aluminum and engineered components stand up to wind load, water infiltration, and air leakage testing.

Glazing: supports double-glazing and multi-panel configurations, including spandrel infill.

Finishes: clear, bronze, and black anodized stocked, with the full optional finish range available.

Insulroll Entrances

250

Series

InsulRoll Thermally Broken Aluminum Door

A narrow-stile thermally broken entrance door for commercial openings where energy performance can’t be sacrificed at the door line.

Dimensions:

2½″ vertical stiles, 3⅛″ top rail, 4⅛″ bottom rail standard. Optional bottom rails of 5½″, 7″, and 10″.

clear, bronze, and black anodized stocked. Light bronze, medium bronze, champagne anodized, and paint optional.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What's the difference between the 5100 and 5200 curtain wall systems, and when should I spec each?

Both share a 2″ sightline and 3″, 4″, and 5″ mullion depths. The 5100 is non-thermal, suited to storefronts and lower-rise work. Spec the 5200 when energy code or thermal performance drives the design.

The 218 (narrow stile) handles retail and lobby traffic. The 350 (medium stile) suits busier commercial entries needing more rigidity. The 500 (heavy stile) is built for monumental openings: schools, courthouses, transit, and civic buildings.

Russett Glazing operates in Canada and supplies projects across the region. For specific manufacturing origin and country-of-fabrication documentation on a given system, contact us directly so we can confirm details for your project’s procurement requirements.

Framing systems handle ¼″ (6mm) and ⅜″ (10mm), with the 1451 also taking 1″ sealed IGUs and ½″ via adaptors. All three commercial door series accept ¼″, ⅜″, ½″, and 1″ infill, including IGUs.

Stock finishes are clear, bronze, and black anodized. Optional finishes include light bronze, medium bronze, and champagne anodized. Framing and doors also support custom powder coat and liquid paint; curtain walls are anodized only.

Yes, when thermally broken systems are specified. The 1451 storefront, 5200 and 6500 curtain walls, and the 250, 350, and 500 InsulRoll doors use polyamide thermal breaks to reduce heat transfer and support energy code compliance.

Yes. The 5100, 5200, 6300, and 6500 curtain walls are designed to integrate with all three door series, giving architects continuous sightlines, consistent finishes, and unified hardware detailing across the full façade.

Yes. The polyamide thermal breaks in the 1451, 5200, 6500, and InsulRoll doors reduce conductive heat loss and condensation risk, supporting OBC SB-10 envelope performance targets. Final compliance depends on glazing selection and whole-building energy modelling.
